Do you have experience in oilfield engineering and advanced knowledge of chemical treatments to optimize the productivity of oil wells? We are looking for a/a passionate professional to join our team as a specialist in matrix acid stimulations. This role is essential to ensure efficiency in well stimulation operations, applying innovative, safe and sustainable technical solutions aligned with energy industry standards.
Academic training
- University degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Field Engineering, or Geosciences with focus on techniques of stimulation and well drilling.
- Postgraduate degrees or specializations in Reservoir Engineering, Well Stimulation, Geomechanics or Oil Field Engineering.
Experience
- More than 20 years in the design and execution of matrix stimulation treatments in sand and carbonate formations.
- Extensive knowledge in the use of acids (HCl, HCl-HF, acid emulsions) and chelating systems.
- Experience in formation damage analysis and selection of treatments according to mineralogy.
- Domain of stimulation simulation software.
- Experience in designing treatments with mechanical and chemical diverters.
- Implementation of advanced technologies such as delayed acids, selective and encapsulated stimulations.
- Knowledge of post-treatment assessment through pressure testing and nodal analysis.
- Familiarity with onshore and offshore operations.
- Knowledge of carbonate formations A deep understanding of the geological and petrophysical properties of carbonate rocks, such as their porosity, permeability, and behavior in response to different stimulation techniques.
Technical skills
- Interpretation of production records and PVT analysis.
- Evaluation of damage by clay, salt precipitation and mobile ends.
- Design and optimization of acid injection into carbonates with creation of flow-through ducts (wormholes).
- Fluid compatibility analysis and additive selection. Application of high pressure pumping methods and controlled flow rates.
- Modeling and simulation of rock formations: Ability to use specialized software such as CMG, Eclipse, Petrel, or GeoStudio to model the behavior of carbonate formations, simulating the effect of stimulations on fluid flow.
We offer a challenging work environment, where your experience will be decisive in strategic oil well development and optimization projects. If you have a passion for engineering applied to the efficient extraction of hydrocarbons, know the best practices in acid treatments and want to join a company that promotes excellence, safety and respect for the environment, we look forward to your application!
