We are seeking a Senior Linear Programming Engineer to develop all the complex Production Plans (monthly, yearly and 5 year ) based on operating conditions, and market conditions using LP tool and generate optimum targets including capacity utilizations , yields, properties, blend recipes, consumptions & production, operating conditions,) by critical evaluation of results and multiple scenarios and ensure carrying out back casting exercise, regular maintenance and update support of LP model.

Specific educational qualifications, degree, certification required for this role
1) bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
Specific knowledge & business understanding
- Overall, 10 years’ experience in Process engineering with a minimum 5 years in the role of LP engineer, with refinery and petrochemical planning & scheduling experience and having skills in assay management, troubleshooting of LP models and related integration components.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY/ DUTIES
Area 1: Production Plan
Develop and review all the complex Production Plans (monthly, yearly and 5 year ) based on operating conditions, and market conditions using LP tool and generate optimum targets including capacity utilizations , yields, properties, blend recipes, consumptions & production, operating conditions,) by critical evaluation of results and multiple scenarios.
Area 2: Plan Monitoring
Evaluate different operation scenarios /changes during course of plan execution to ascertain impacts on gross margins.
Area 3: LP Back Casting
Monitor plan vs. actual on daily basis and conduct back casting exercises on LP model regularly.
Area 4: LP Modeling and Update
Support the LP Specialist in modeling, updating and maintenance of LP model (based on best in class modeling mathematical techniques and knowledge of LP application in use) based on actual operations and deviations observed from actual. (Validation of assays, unit yields and properties, process constraints).
Area 5: Projects & Economics Evaluation
Conduct economic studies, feasibility studies by modeling new facilities / modifying existing facilities in LP applications and generate recommendation to Management.
Area 6: Optimization and Margin Improvement
Provide / recommend process (operation & business) improvements having positive impact on gross margins / reducing losses.
Area 7: Training
Train users in production planning using LP applications & support daily complex scheduling activities.
Area 8: Tools and Solution
Coordination with vendor for the necessary update of software versions & functional testing of application and debugging.

2. Interviews stage

2.2 Client phone/video interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our Client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week.
